My air fryer roasted chicken has the perfect crispy skin with juicy meat. It cooks quickly and evenly in an air fryer, uses less fat than traditional method of cooking, and it is overall a convenient recipe making it perfect for meal prep or even a weeknight dinner. The air fryer also helps seal in flavor for the perfect amount of spice on your chicken.

Serves 4
Suggested Wine Pairing:
Try this chicken with a light bodied pinot noir!
Ingredients:
1 2-3 pound fryer chicken
1/4 cup of olive oil
2 tablespoons of paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon of dried thyme
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
Instructions:
- Prepare the chicken by removing any giblets and giving it a quick rinse. Dry the chicken and preheat your air fryer to 400F.
- Mix the oil, paprika, salt, pepper, thyme, and garlic powder together and then spread liberally all over the chicken.
- Cook, breast side down in the air fryer for 30 minutes. Flip the chicken over and add any of the remaining oil mixture. Cook for another 30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165F.
- Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before carving.
