Sometimes simplicity is the best. All you need is a few fresh, high quality ingredients to make something really outstanding. I truly believe this, especially when it comes to pizza which is why you’re going to love my simple burrata pizza recipe.
Recently, on a trip to Italy, we roaming around Florence after a long day of walking and decided that dinner would be the closest restaurant to our hotel and it was a pizza place. It was nothing super fancy, but it had a nice atmosphere and you could get yourself a bottle of wine, so it was the winner that night. The pizza was simple and delicious. My burrata pizza was just that; a pizza with burrata cheese, tomato sauce, and basil and it was so good. What more could you ask for! So, i’ve decided to recreate this meal for your enjoyment.
Serves however many people can eat a pizza
Wine Suggestion:
Try this with a Lambrusco, which is a sparkling red wine.

Pizza dough, store bought ot homemade
Marinara sauce, store bought or homemade
8 ounces of burrata cheese
1 small tomato, sliced thin
1/2 cup of basil, torn
1/4 cup of shredded parmesan cheese

- Roll your your pizza dough and stretch it to fit a lightly oiled pizza pan.
- Once you have your pizza crust sorted, all you have to do is decorate the pizza. Start by adding the marina sauce to the crust and then topping with a few slices of fresh tomato. Then gently tear the burrata and place that around the pizza. Top with torn basil and dusting of parmesan cheese.
