Suggested Wine Pairing:
Try my cedar plank salmon with a crisp sauvignon blanc to cut the richness and compliment the smokiness.
Ingredients:
1 cedar plank (you can find this at your local grocery store or from Amazon)
1 pound of salmon
1/4 cup of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of rice wine vinegar
Juice of 1/2 lime
2 tablespoons of sesame oil
1 tablespoon of green onions, finely chopped
1 teaspoon of ginger, minced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
Instructions:
- Start by soaking the cedar plank for at least 30 minute but up to 2 hours.
- While the plank is soaking, get the salmon marinating in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, lime, sesame oil, green onions, ginger and garlic. Leave it in the marinate for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium heat. Remove the cedar from soaking and place the salmon on top of it. Drizzle any remaining marinade on top of the salmon.
- Grill for 20 minutes, you will see a little smoke, but not to worry. That’s how it gets so tasty!
