Try an Executive Mimosa for an Extra Exciting Brunch

Try an Executive Mimosa for an Extra Exciting Brunch

A wise person once said, “Life is expensive and I’m not even having that much fun.” Other wise people have mentioned the sentiments that, “I am here for a good time, not a long time” or ” you can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning.” I am not sure who these wise people were or if they were executives or not, but I am sure that when you are having one of those weeks, you need to place an order for an executive mimosa.

The executive mimosa is the perfect beverage for when life becomes an executive pain in the ass. It is the perfect libation for when the Sunday scaries meet hangxiety. It is the perfect drink for either going back to bed or making bad decisions at 2pm. Clearly, the executive mimosa checks many boxes on the tic sheet of life.

And maybe best of all, the executive mimosa is simple to make. Switch out the champagne flute for a highball glass, get a couple of ice cubes, and add a bit of vodka to add to your regular mimosa, and there you have it! You have made it to the executive level of drunkenness with this executive mimosa!

Ingredients:

1 ounce of vodka

2 ounces of orange juice

4 ounces of champagne or prosecco. Honestly, the cheaper the better for this recipe

Ice and an orange slice to keep it classy

Instructions:

  1. This could not be easier. Add the ice to a glass and top with vodka and orange juice. Give it a quick stir before carefully topping it off with your prosecco. Garnish with an orange wedge and bottoms up!

If you like this, be sure to try my other morning libations, like my Middle Eastern bloody Mary. But really, if you try hard enough, any cocktail can be a morning cocktail!
