Pomegranate Gin and Tonic

Pomegranate Gin and Tonic

This pomegranate gin and tonic is like the spa waters of gin and tonic. The pomegranate flavor is subtle and gives the perfect sweetness to balance the bitter edge of the gin. I also use a squeeze of lemon to get a little acid in the game.

If you have noticed, my cocktail recipes are super simple and rarely have more than 3 ingredients. This gin and tonic is no exception. In fact, this is one of those dump and drink recipes that you don’t even need a cocktail shaker for. Perfect for when you need that drink as soon as possible!

So next time you are need of a drink and you’re not quite sure what to make that will be simple yet satisfying, get those pomegranate seeds out and mix up this pomegranate gin and tonic up.

Makes one drink

Ingredients:

3 ounces of gin

6 ounces of tonic water

2 tablespoons of pomegranate seeds

lemon wedge

Instructions:

  1. In your glass of choice add a generous amount of ice, pomegranate seeds, and gin. Top with the tonic water and squeeze of lemon.

This drink could also be muddled to bring out more of the pomegranate flavor and looks beautiful enough to serve for Christmas, so you could add some basil and get the red and green color play happening.
