How to Make Spicy Edamame

How to Make Spicy Edamame

I love anything spicy and this edamame is no joke. The sriracha combined with a hint of soy sauce and sesame takes the edamame to the next level and really packs a nice and spicy punch! Plus, it’s so easy to make for a snack in a large or small portion, it just might become your go to! Just be sure to keep plenty of napkins handy, because it can get your fingers a bit messy when you dig in! Try it on its own or with the Philadelphia Bowl for your next quick weeknight dinner.

Spicy Edamame

Serves 4

Ingredients:

1 12 ounce bag of frozen edamame in the pod

1 Thai red chili, minced

2 tablespoons sriracha

1 teaspoon of soy sauce

1 teaspoon of sesame oil

Directions:

  1. Follow the instructions to cook the edamame on the package. Sometimes you can steam it in the bag or quickly boil it for about 5 minutes on the stove or microwave.
  2. Meanwhile, make the sauce by combining the rest of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Once the edamame is cooked, drain any excess water and then dump into the mixing bowl with the sauce. Give it a generous sprinkling of salt and stir to combine.
