Spicy Margarita: Make this Easy and Tasty Cocktail

Spicy Margarita: Make this Easy and Tasty Cocktail

I love anything spicy and this low-cal spicy margarita is no exception. The tequila is quickly infused with jalapenos and then you make this just as you would my lazy margarita. So, it’s spicy, easy, low calorie, and full of all the good stuff; tequila.

This spicy margarita is going to be an instant classic in your household, not only because it is simple to make, but also because it is super tasty. The combination of the sweetness and citrus lime to the spicy jalapeno is truly the perfect combination. It will also pair perfectly with your favorite Mexican dishes like fajitas, enchiladas, chili rellenos, chilaquiles, and more.

So make this crowd pleasing cocktail for your next taco Tuesday, backyard gathering, or pool party and it will not disapoint!

Serves 2, but easily doubled, tripled, quadrupled; whatever you need!

Ingredients:

4 counts tequila

2 counts triple sec or Cointreau

Juice of 2 limes

1 jalapeno, sliced

Soda water to top

4-6 large ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Start by quickly infusing your tequila. You could do this in a larger batch if you prefer or just make what you need. In a jar, add jalapenos and cover with desired amount of tequila. Allow to sit for at least 30 minutes. You can keep this infusing for 2, 4, 6 hours or overnight, but beware, the spice will increase the longer the jalapenos are soaking in the tequila.
  2. In a glass with plenty of ice, combine to 2 counts of the infused tequila and 1 count of Cointreau. Top with the juice of one lime and soda water.
  3. Garnish with a jalapeno wheel and enjoy. By the way, you can use the tequila jalapenos in guacamole or Pico de Gallo!
