White Sangria: How to Make this Summertime Cocktail

White sangria is literally summer in a glass. It is the perfect cocktail for summer because it is refreshing, fruity, and packs a punch with a hint of vodka. While it’s not the traditional red sangria, which can be heavy, this white sangria is refreshing and a good alternative. Especially if you are someone that tends to get headaches with red wine, this is a perfect cocktail to add to your repertoire.

And, like all of my cocktails, it’s easy to make and requires only a few ingredients that you likely have on hand right now. So grab a pitcher and make yourself a batch. Even share it with friends if that’s your thing. It drinks perfectly in a closet or even at a summer barbecue or pool party. Do you!

Ingredients:

1 bottle of white wine. I use an Argentinean Torrontes, but a pinot grigio or sauvignon blanc would also work.

1/2 cup of vodka

1/2 cup of orange juice

1 peach diced

3/4 cup of sparkling water, or Sprite if you prefer a sweeter sangria

1 cup of ice

Lemon and lime wedge and plenty of ice for serving.

Instructions:

  1. Combine the wine with vodka, orange juice, ice, and diced peach in a pitcher. Top with sparkling water or Sprite. I told this was easy.
  2. To serve, add ice to a large wine glass or pimp cup and garnish with a lemon and lime.
