The BEST Garlic Bread

Garlic bread is so easy to make and so hard to mess up. This is the perfect garlic bread to make for many appetizers, especially garlic shrimp. But you could also make this along side soup or a delicious salad. It is a great and simple recipe to have on deck for nearly any occasion. And now that you have your roasted or confit garlic handy, it only takes a few minutes to prepare and bake to perfection.

Serves about 4 – 6

Ingredients:

1 baguette of your choice. I find that a crusty French bread works well.

6 roasted or confit garlic cloves

2 cloves of garlic, minced

4 tablespoons of butter

1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese

Tin foil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Slice the bread in half length wise. Spread 3 cloves of garlic on each side of the bread. Then spread about 2 tablespoons of butter on each side. Top that with fresh garlic and parmesan cheese.
  3. Carefully stack the halves of the bread back together like a sandwich and wrap in foil. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the bread is soft and the cheese is melted.
  4. Unwrap the garlic bread and cut into 2-3 inch pieces and serve with your favorite soup, salad, or really anything you like!
